Gentle Journeys: Creating a Sanctuary for Grief During the Holidays
November 13 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Find a Sense of “Home” Within Yourself Amidst the Holiday Glow
The holidays can feel overwhelming when you’re navigating the deep landscape of loss. Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one or a cherished pet, or navigating the “living grief” of a terminal or life-altering diagnosis, this season often feels at odds with your internal reality.
While the world outside may seem loud and hurried, the Gentle Journeys Workshop offers you a quiet sanctuary to catch your breath and honor your own pace. Through a nurturing blend of restorative yoga, guided meditation, and creative expression, you will find the space to simply be with your experience.
In this workshop, you will:
- Ease the Holiday Pressure: Use gentle movement to release the physical “tightness” and exhaustion that often heighten when carrying a loss or a difficult diagnosis.
- Express Your Inner Truth: Externalize the complex emotions of the season through simple writing exercises—giving you a private way to process your journey without any pressure to “perform” or hide your pain.
- Protect Your Peace: Learn practical, “on-the-go” mindfulness tools to help you access a sense of calm during holiday gatherings.
Leave feeling more grounded, clearer, and empowered to navigate the season.
No writing experience required.
Bring a photo of your beloved departed person or pet, and/or their favorite object.
